**** A very beautiful ballad! It's excellent to hear something acoustic from them for once and away from the heavy productions. It's a little disappointing it probably won't be as commercially successful as their other songs. The Ed Sheeran influence is very evident. Unfortunately it gets a little boring in over time due to the lack of a climax. One of the better songs off Take Me Home along with Live While We're Young. Last edited: 23.02.2013 13:43
Exact 3 sterren!! ☺
*** Can't say this is bad apart from some of the lyrics just dull and boring and feels like it just ends making it feel like a non event. 5th UK top 10. 24 weeks in the UK top 100. 85,308 sold while at #1. Their second UK#1. UK#1 and Ireland#2. US#33. 311,700 copies sold in the UK. Last edited: 29.04.2013 18:13
**** Can be a bit boring and does have incredibly cringeworthy lyrics, but despite that, I am liking this a lot more than "Live While We're Young". Great stripped back song, and a lot better than all the other boyband songs out there at the moment.
***** Beautiful ballad! I believe this song would not be out of place on +, if Ed Sheeran decided to record it... but he gave it to One Direction; and they pulled it off very well; shock horror I actually enjoy a One Direction song but I am a fan of Ed Sheeran so that helps.
A big departure from their heavily produced singles, it's actually decent and a step in the direction that boy bands don't usually take, stripped back acoustic singles.
Edit: Listened to this a number of times and realized how much of a breath of fresh air this is and shock; I am enjoying a One Direction song. But it helps that I am a fan of Ed Sheeran's music also. I have a small beef about them writing about body image; they didn't really need to sing a song about body image when their market of young girls would be struggling with body image. 3* --> 5*. ** I can see the Ed Sheeran influence in the song but I still can't get into it. I guess it's nice that they've tried to experiment and create something different but it doesn't do it for me Last edited: 24.02.2013 01:29
